ABOUT joan

A native New Yorker, Joan moved south to establish her production career in Atlanta. Since 1983 she has been producing national and local TV commercials, PSA's, corporate and educational videos. Along the way she collected several cool awards such as Best of Show at Show South; Finalist at Cannes Film Festival, Finalists at IFTV Festival of NY and many Telly’s. While at BBDO she produced million-dollar commercials for Delta Air Lines. How many people can say they've actually made it rain around an L-1011? She got to oversee the special features for "The Powerpuff Girls Movie" DVD and even worked with the big-haired lady on spots for LongHorn Steakhouse. As executive producer for McGraw-Hill she produced a variety of educational videos and teacher guides including a social studies series that’s still being used in schools today. Fortunately they were geared towards elementary aged students so she was able to keep up.

Television made me what I am today

Once as a kid Joan saw a Dentyne commercial being filmed at Palisades Amusement Park.  When she saw it on TV, she was hooked.  Fast forward to now and you’ll still find Joan pursuing her passion for video production. She is proud to say, “television made me what I am today.” And that is evident in the award-winning work she has done for national advertising agencies, nonprofit organizations, educational publishers and Fortune 500 corporations.

Telling the right story the right way is central to her work. Joan is involved in every aspect of the production process providing clients with a clear understanding of project objectives, budgets and schedules.

Having been producing in the Atlanta market for over 25 years she has assembled a rolodex of proven players and great problem solvers. And yes, she still uses a rolodex. So whether the need is for writers or designers, directors or musicians, Joan can assemble and manage the team for you.

Joan is currently serving on the executive board of Georgia Production Partnership as volunteer coordinator.
